NMRA Digital Command Control
NMRA DCC Packet Encoder
RDG&A has a single chip DCC encoder available for the do-it-yourself and experimental crowd. The current version provides a single channel encoder with a parallel or serial host interface.

Here's a circuit board for the
encoder. It supports both serial and parallel host interfaces and a single ended power station
output.

DCC Development Station

DCC Development Station and DCC Signal Monitor
This was built to develop DCC devices. It is based around a Philips 80C552 micro-controller and uses RGX51 as the operating system. This first version uses hand wired modules from other projects (recycling) to determine what hardware was required and as a target for software development. It functions as a general purpose DCC Command Station but allows manual assembly of packets and controls for packet transmission order, count and rate.
To the right is a DCC track monitor. It not only records and displays the transmitted packet stack, it also displays transmission rate, byte count, jitter and other parameters. It's made from recycled modules too. There are several track monitors on the market and the RDG&A Signal Monitor is more of a diagnostic/development tool.
