RDG&A has a single chip DCC encoder available for the do-it-yourself crowd. The current version provides a dual channel encoder with a parallel or high speed serial interface. It requires the addition of a 22.1184MHz crystal and 3 capacitors (included) and it's ready to go.

DCC Development Test Bed and DCC Track Monitor

    This was built to develop DCC devices. This first version uses hand wired modules from other projects (recycling) to determine what hardware was required and as a target for software development. It functions as a general purpose DCC command center but allows hand assembly of packets and controls for packet transmission order, count and rate.  To the right is a track monitor. It not only records and displays the packet stack, it also displays transmission rate and count. It's made from recycled modules too.
